Texture

Texture is the visual effect of feeling emotion that photos have. Texture can be something felt when grazed across something when using you sense of touch. But something most known for as being something you physically feel, capturing texture can become a difficult task. Ways you can find yourself taking photos of texture is by finding whatever you'd like to photograph, and having if have depth. Having good contrast can also bring out much texture in your photography. This can be manipulated after the fact of taking your photos, before, or even during the photoshoot with your camera settings.

If you are looking to have texture within your image, patterns are a good visual representation of both feeling and texture. To make it easier, having color in you r texture photography will be useful to show contrast in depth if your lighting isn't exactly how you like it.

You may also create your own textures by photographing your own abstract painting you or someone you know has created. You can gather together a group of creative objects that you find and put them differentially in a group. Or together in any way that you'd want to capture them.

Capturing items in motion, with the right camera settings, can be a very nice way to capture texture from within the movement of objects of texture. Some examples could be flour, feathers, and or water.

Making your own artifice light could bring out much texture from whatever you are taking a picture of if shot at the right angles and place. And, this goes for everything, taking loads of images.
